Director’s Update – Oct. 11th

Happy Thursday!

For being a short week of school it was a very busy one! I have several reminders to share with you:

  • October tuition is due
  • Suncreek Kids Spirit Shirts – we still have a few left   to sell if anyone is interested please stop by the office cost is $10
  • Suncreek Kids Sunday this Sunday  – 9:30 & 11am services
  • Next Wednesday, Oct. 17th  is Bike-a-thon – please see below about the event.  This is our  main fundraiser for the school year and we love it because it is all about  the children and they have a blast!  I hope all our families will      come out and show your class spirit for your child and their class.  

**Suncreek Families, mark your calendars for our 5th Annual Bike-a-Thon – just ONE week away!!
Next Wednesday, October 17, come cheer on your preschooler during their regularly scheduled recess time as they ride to show their class pride!! 🙂 Decorate their wheels of choice, dress in classroom colors, and bring your megaphones… the most spirited rider COULD win a pizza party for their class!!!

Suncreek Kids Bike-A-Thon

Children…………. Start your Pedals!

We are only a week away from the Suncreek Kids 5th Annual Bike-a-thon! We are so excited for this day of fun and fitness. The Suncreek Kids staff and board can’t wait for this wonderful event. Following are details to help the bike-a-thon run smoothly:

– The morning of the event, October 17th, we ask that you pull up between the two church buildings (on the west side of the preschool) and drop off your bikes. There will be volunteers waiting to put the bikes in the appropriate spot. If you are planning to stay for the event, please park in the parking lot by the preschool building. This will allow our volunteers the time and space to put together the tracks.

– Helmets are a must for all children riding in the event. We ask that you label your child’s bike and helmet with his/her name and classroom name.

– Please plan to take your bikes with you after your child rides in the event. If you will not be at the event, please pick up the bike at the drop-off spot just before pick-up time. Suncreek Kids will NOT have any place to store bikes overnight so PLEASE remember to pick up your bikes and helmets.

Your child will be participating in this event during his/her recess.

Rainbow 10:00 – 10:30 Blue 9:30 -10:00 Purple 11:30 – 12:00 Orange – 11:00 – 11:30 Red 11:00 11:30 Yellow 10:30 – 11:00 Green – 11:30 – 12:00 Sky Blue 10:30 – 11:00 Silver – 10:00 – 10:30 If your child is not in school on Wednesday, please join us at the above-scheduled time for your classroom.

– Please have your child wear his/her classroom color. We’d love for parents to show spirit and dress in the appropriate classroom color as well!

– Pledge envelopes were sent home last week so that you can begin collecting pledges for your little biker! All funds raised at this bike-a-thon will be used for classroom and curriculum needs here at Suncreek Kids. Please send in your pledge envelope no later than October 31, 2012.  Please have all checks made to Suncreek Kids.

– And don’t forget to look for us on Facebook for information and Bike-a-thon pictures after the event.

As always, thanks so much for your support of Suncreek Kids Christian Preschool!

  • Vendor booth next Wednesday & Thursday   (Oct. 17th & 18th) set up by the office.  Our first vendors will be Scentsy & Stella & Dot and 10% of  the total sales made will come back to the preschool.  We appreciate  all the generous support our families give us to make this preschool the  most blessed community that it is!
  • School Directory – A copy was sent home either  yesterday or today in your child’s folder.  We have a few extra copies in the office if anyone did not receive it.
  • Several illnesses are currently going around  so please keep your child home if they are sick or are showing signs of      coming down with something.  Thanks!

Lastly, the school picture proofs will be coming home in your child’s folder Monday & Tuesday.  The orders will be due back on Oct. 24th & 25th and Diana Busch will be here both days to answer any questions or concerns you may have in regards to placing an order.
